From the very beginning, I knew something terrible was going to happen. I could feel it. I should have listened to my senses. It turns out I was right after all!
The story takes us back to Tremorglade, the town of the Turned. Ever since Sel became a Ripper, things changed dramatically. Tremorglade is locked off and sealed away from the world. Although Sel, Ingrid, Elena and Ben have grown closer, suspicion still surrounds Sel. Sherman and the Alliance continue to accuse him of wrongdoing and spreading rumours around the town that he is a liar. As mistrust grows, the situation becomes increasingly dangerous.
Meanwhile, Sel and Ingrid are invited to a lab in Tremorglade that is working on a cure for Rippers – but there’s a twist. When a strange and powerful parasite is discovered, chaos breaks loose at the lab, and things quickly get out of hand. It becomes clear that Tremorglade is no longer safe.
With his friends’ help, will Sel be able to save Ben from evil Sherman and stop the icy parasite before it’s too late, or will this be the end?
My favourite character is Ingrid because she is not only intelligent but also kind and loving. I think she is very brave for facing multiple threats and dangers.
My favourite moment in the book is when Ingrid becomes a prisoner of Sherman but refuses to give up. She fights her way through using both her taekwondo skills and clever mind. This scene highlights her bravery and independence.
Is Bite Risk Cold Blood Worth Reading?
Overall, I loved this story and I was really impressed with the Bite Risk series. I especially enjoyed the storytelling and the plot of this book, which is full of tension and unexpected twists. Although in my personal opinion, I preferred the first Bite Risk book more, but this sequel is still strong and exciting addition to the series. I would rate it 5/5 and recommend it to anyone looking for a thrilling read with a touch of mystery and mild horror.
If you love Cold Blood, the story continues across the full series: Bite Risk | Bite Risk Caught Dead | Bite Risk Cold Blood. The story continues with even more twists, danger, and gripping moments as Sel, Ingrid, and their friends face new challenges in Temorglade.
