It is a new beginning for the people of Temorglade, especially for Sel Archer, who loves being a Ripper. Ever since the Rippocalypse, things have changed completely. Sequest is shut down and everyone feels safe – until something strange happens. When Sel and Ingrid see an alarming scene, they find themselves questioning the decency of Rippers.

From then on, things unfold quickly as more incidents occur, while Sherman and his gang of Immutables – people who don’t turn – try to persuade the community to rebel. Amongst all this, a newcomer appears, who seems to be Sel’s answer to all his questions.

But in the shadows, a monster dwells, and an old enemy of Temorglade returns  for a visit…

My favourite part of this story is when Sherman and his gang of Immutables are having a secret meeting. I like this part because it is very interesting to read.

My favourite character is Ingrid because of her kind personality, as well as her skill and ability to defend herself. Another reason I like her is that she is a great friend and fights for good.

Is Bite Risk Caught Dead Worth Reading?

Overall, I liked reading this book. However, in my opinion, the beginning was a bit plain, and it only picked up in the middle. Another thing I noticed was the language: although it was very descriptive, it did not use a wide vocabulary. I give this book a 4/5 and recommend it to anyone seeking a nice, descriptive fiction story. I think anyone interested in this book should read Bite Risk first, as it is the first book in the series.
