2025 turned out to be a truly memorable year for reading. It brought a beautiful mix of stories – from powerful narratives and inspiring voices to comforting, curl-up-and-read favourites, these reads stood out for all the right reasons. This list brings together the books that shaped my reading year -the ones I’d happily recommend to anyone looking for something special to add to their bookshelf.
I chose these top five books because each of these books shaped my reading journey in 2025, and together they reminded me why reading is such a powerful way to learn, feel, and grow.

The Dread Wood Series
The Dread Wood Series stood out because of its fast-paced action and adventure. I really enjoyed the characters and the way the story was told -it kept me hooked and made reading feel exciting and fun.

I Am Malala
I Am Malala is a powerful true story. It shows what life was like in Pakistan when The Taliban took over and how Malala used her voice to share her story with the world. Malala’s courage and determination to fight for girls’ education in Pakistan and Afghanistan truly inspired me and showed how one person can make a global impact.
