I loved reading The Famous Five : Collection 1. It is all about friendship, teamwork, and mysteries. I think this is one of the best fictional book collections I have ever read. This book really emphasises curiosity, adventure and bravery.
One of my favourite parts in the book is when Julian, Dick, and Anne first arrive at Kirrin Cottage. I found it very interesting to explore the different places in the book and meet new characters, especially their odd cousin, George . I also enjoyed the part where they all go to Kirrin Island together and stayed overnight, as it gave a sense of excitement and danger.
As the stories continue, it was fascinating to see how all the characters evolved. Ann, who used to be a little timid, later becomes much more confident and adventurous. George, who was really arrogant, later becomes kinder and enjoyed meeting her cousins more.
My favourite character in this book is George because I love how daring she is. She is not scared of anyone and does not care what others think. She has a great sense of adventure. In one instance George cut her hair short to look like a boy, and she did not regret her decision, even when her mother scolded her and others thought it was very unusual.
What made me love the book so much was how it kept on pushing me to read on. The adventures were thrilling and made me cling to the edge of my seat. It made me feel as if I was joining the children on their adventure across the sea, on islands, and through dangerous situations. I would definitely recommend this book for anyone seeking adventure-packed stories, full of excitement.
